Today I got an email message from DIVA #1...the title of the email was "Ah, it's a pirates life for me..." and when I opened it, this is what I read:

Are you kidding me??? Please someone tell me that my blog is not that controversial...please. My blog is just my ramblings and way to keep in touch with people I care about and random people who happen to honor me by reading about "ME" and my tiny little dfly world.
But apparently corporate america thinks I should be blocked. What the?
I feel sooo bad that DIVA #1 has been blocked from reading my blog at work. It makes me happy to know that she enjoys reading it...as I enjoy writing my feelings and thoughts down. It has been good for me to do that...
BUT never fear DIVA #1 - I shall be copying and pasting the blog into yahoo for you to read on your yahoo email, which escapes the watchful eye of the internet blocker.

Has it really been 25 years???
I was checking email on yahoo and saw the 25 years ago story on Princess Diana and Prince Charles...wow..that takes me back.
I remember being in my parents basement, with popcorn and lemonde waiting to watch the wedding. It's amazing to think of all the good Princess Diana did..and that her life ended so young.
When I was in Paris with my sil and nephew our tour went through the tunnel that she died in...it was so sad to see the location encased in glass...

The weekend...finally it's here
Oh Friday came and went, I headed home and met my new tenant so he and his girlfriend could move in. Glad we had decided to meet at 7:30 as the traffic was horrible. With the shooting downtown the traffice everywhere was at a standstill. Such a sad sad day...such a shame.
Afterwards...headed upstairs and just chilled out.
I made myself sleep in. It was hard. I woke up at 5:30 like normal, but went back to bed. Finally after 2 other attempts to sleep in...I finally got up at 9:30.
I had promised Momma Char that I would give a fellow TAC a call about her upcoming workshop etc. SO I did...we talked for about an hour...it was a good conversation and I hope I helped her with ideas etc.
Then it was off to the bank, the post office, walgreens, starbucks..of course..lol...and then to Costco. On the way home, I stopped and saw my pops at work..and then I headed home, and got my TAC orders ready to deliver. SO off I went to deliver....then "V" called...home from work...he said let's go to dinner....so I met him at the Sushi place on 15th.
We had a great dinner....and alas no camera...don't have room for it in my NEW purse...lol...BUT my new "special" bag is on it's way.....so that will hold my camera, magazine, planner, tac stuff and the apartment stuff.....I feel sooo lost without that stuff...but hey...it is what it is...lol.
SO we are just chilling on the couch watching the Seafair parade on tv...talking and catching up for th week.

No Sleep Til Brooklyn...
Yesterday afternoon I got a call from an old friend. Michael. Michael called. I knew it was him the moment he said hi. I thought I would never hear from him. It's been so long since we last spoke....2 years in fact.
Has it been 2 years since I last talked to Michael? Yes to the day. I have it written down. It's on my refridgerator. On a post it note. I cried so hard that day. The day he stopped talking to me. It was like my life didn't matter anymore.
Our conversation was brief. I don't think he expected me to answer my cell phone...so I think I took him off guard, and then when I wasn't mad...I think that also surprised him.
He just said hello, said that he had been going through a rough time, wanted to talk, but wasn't ready to yet, but wanted to call...and get back in touch.
I told him that I missed him, that I was there anytime he was ready to talk. That I wasn't mad. That I missed him, and cared very much about him.
We hung up the phone...and I just started to cry. I collected myself and called "V" and told him what happened. He was surprised that Michael called...but was very supportive. And said what will happen will happen. We just have to be open-minded and just deal with it.
Since Michael's call, I've been thinking of him...remembering how wonderful he was when I was in the hospital. How he sang to me over the phone til I fell asleep and stayed on the phone...til I woke up. All of his stories...how he always said I had a cute accent...when really he did..lol...All of the books he read to me, the jokes, the soothing words to calm my fears. Just thinking of all that makes my heart ache...I can hear him calling me honey or honey bunny...
I don't think Michael knows of this blog...but if you do Michael...know that I love you, I always have...I miss you..I am always here for you. IF you want me there, I'll leave for Brooklyn immediately...no questions asked...and if you want to come here...you have a key...just call me and tell me what time your plane arrives..."V" and I are together these days...but he understands our relationship...and wants you to feel comfortable calling me or visiting...he has always liked you and respects you.

The other day "V" informed me he didn't like my purse...my big black bag that DIVA #1 gave me. One would wonder why he doesn't like it, perhaps its too big...maybe??
What I actually think it is - is that a few times I have had him hold my bag...I think he thinks it could be considered a "man bag"...so the other day....he came over with a "new" purse for me...its smaller and really nice...a nice light carmel leather...and he told me he has "bid" on a special bag on ebay for me...to put my magazine in, my few TAC items and my few apartment items...he promises...that. i . will. love. it.
I asked him...So how gay is that (No offense is meant to anyone by this statement)??? Now mind you "V" is a manly man...football, baseball, golf...you name it...so the fact that he bought me a purse...is just wow...shocking.

My boyfriend cracks me up...
HA...
SO..."V" and I were discussing my "altering" of my hair that was to occur on Tuesday after work.
HE can't understand "WHY" I would spend $125 to get my hair cut and hi-lighted and low-lighted. Well, I usually get it done every 2 months...so really if you divide it by 2...well okay maybe it's a bit pricey...but I normally like how Jan does my hair....uh until recently....
SO last month the end of June, I went in. I told Jan I wasn't too trilled with my hair. I told her I really liked the length it was...and that she had cut my bangs too short last time and they had finally grown out...ugh that was a nightmare trying to get those grown out...see I have a widows peak and when you cut my bangs too short....sea aneome...ugh! AND that my hair seemed too dark underneath...almost it's natural color eegawds! Not natural color...lol
So...last time the end of June...she just trimmed my hair....did the hi-lights, low-lights and only charged me $80. AND I was pretty happy with it....
Well...with the jazz fest happening in what like 10 days...I wanted to get my hair done...the week before....so that it looked awesome....so I made my appointment and then she changed it like 3 times..and in the end I felt bullied in to going on Tuesday....ummm yeah today.
SO I decided I would give her one last chance. She just trimmed my bangs and around my face...she lightened my roots and then hi-lighted and low-lighted....and she didn't even style my hair just dried it...and she charged me $105...what the???
Anyways I'm not sure I am real happy with it...I will be going elsewhere next time...but what cracked me up the most was what "V" had to say....
Last night he said "So how are you getting your hair altered?" I simply replied...I'm getting it dyed back to my natural dark brown/blackish color and I'm gonna have her put big chunks of blonde on just the top layers....
"V" said....really? I said yes....he thought I was dead serious....so needless to say, he said when I saw him tonight..."Whew...i'm glad you didn't do what you said....he continued to say....I like the color but it's darker than you've had it lately.." guess we'll have to see...

to be the resident manager.....ugh!!! I just rented the last two large apartments....(mind you - one even before the tenant moved out)....and what happens....
UGH...my one tenant who has been in Japan since January...is gonna give his notice....UGH...he's back for a few days....and then gone for a week or so...then back to Japan in August.....what the???
Oh mercy....but at least I have a sorta hot call sheet of people...looking...so maybe just maybe I'll get lucky once again!.

Murphy hates me...
Yes I am convinced Murphy (you all know him...Murphys Law) hates me.
Saturday I was supposed to be going to Heathers for a few hours of stamping. I had really been looking forward to it. SO my day started off about 2 hours behind. I needed to do laundry...and I got up about an hour later than I had wanted to. Then I got a call from a tenant about picking her paper up on Sunday since she was gonna be out of town. IT took me forever to get her off the phone.....ugh...so I was even later starting my stuff.
Finally managed to get going...took my laundry downstairs and then headed to Starbucks to get something cool to drink. Came back, clothes in the dryer...went upstairs and I had a ton of calls to return and tell them the place was rented....ugh...even later...finally got ready...and headed out...took C.C.'s deposit to the bank...and then FINALLY on the Road to Heathers....it was 11am..and I had wanted to be leaving at 9am. BUT hey at least I was on the road.
I had my directions, bottled water (as it was gonna be hot) and my cell all charged up. I thought I had Heather's phone number in my cell...as it said Heather in my directory....so I was good.
Made it to Maple Valley....which I had never been there before...don't know if I went the most effiecient was as I had used Yahoo maps...but hey got there and didn't get lost. I found the BofA no problem (I had originally planned to deposit C.C. deposit there IF I had left at 9am) and then headed to Heather's. I got to this one point and then totally got lost. I mean really lost. The poor mailman had no clue where Heather's place was. The people I asked had no clue...so I kept driving around the development area....still lost...with NO Heather's place in site. I went to grab my cell phone....to call Heather....and the Heather that is in my cell phone...is the Heather at WORK....and then my cell had NO SERVICE...what is up with that???? SO after about an hour of driving around lost....I finally found the main road....and headed home. I was tired....it was an hour there...an hour lost and an hour home...and 11o miles later. UGH...I so sucked....I felt bad I didn't make it I was really mad at myself....ugh!!!!
Oh well....chalk it up to not being as prepared as I usually am....

SO Friday I got to work a bit tired...cuz of my late night visiting MeMe and the traffic on the way home...but I was in good spirits. The weather was to be oh so hottttt...but I would be at the office.
The day started off pretty good....lots of reports and then to finish off some Jazz Fest projects. Got most everything done now...YEAH!
Then the C.C. showed up...to give me his paperwork.....My oh My did I get teased at work...oh well....but the best news...the apartment is rented!!! Score!!!
Talked to Diva #1...and laughed....she alwasy lifts my spirit....such a good friend....

Dining with MeMe....
On Thursday evening I actually got to see MeMe. I had an appointment with the C.C. (Cute Canadian) to show him the apt that would be available in August. The C.C. was late. Really. late. We were to meet at 7pm. He called, thank goodness, and finally showed at 7:40pm.
Showed C.C. the apartment....we went and talked and he'll take it. He needed to fill out his paperwork and I told him I needed him to do that...so he'll stop by work on Friday to do so.
SO back to MeMe....I left at 7:55pm and headed North to the infamous Marysville Taco Time. See MeMe loves Taco Time and they don't have Taco Time in the land of AZ where MeMe lives. SO it was a good treat for her. I ended up being about 10 minutes late, ugh...didn't want to be late...but I was.
MeMe was there...waiting in the parking lot. I pulled right up next to her and turned off the car...and waved...lol...totally freaked her out. HA!
SO we went inside...and got our food. They of course got MeMe the wrong thing....I ended up taking it home....I was gonna have it for lunch .... but "V" had stopped by and was hungry....so it went to a good tummy.
Back to MeMe. We laughed, and talked and talked some more. IT was soooo good to see her. So good to hear her stories....so good to laugh with her again!!! It always amazes me how much you realize you miss a person when you finally get to see them again.
MeMe brought her scrapbook of her Europe trip....let me say WOWZA! She did an amazing job on her book. WOW...her pictures of Germany and Paris brought back so many memories for me...When I went I didn't have a camera and my sil took pictures....BUT i never got any copies of them...oh well....at least I have memories....I'll just have to go back one day.
SO we closed down the Taco Time...really closed it down...and then we headed our seperate ways......I am sooooo glad MeMe had a few hours to visit. I miss you MeMe. Hope your flight home was much better than your flight here!!!

MeMe's here!!!
SO Tuesday evening MeMe was going to be arriving around 6pm and I was gonna pick her up at the airport and take her up North...where we were gonna meet her parents and then she was gonna head up to their place.
I was sooo freakin excited...I couldn't wait.....
Well....guess what??? MeMe's flight kept getting delayed....and then was even MORE delayed by the power outage in LA.....SOOOOO I headed home....and she called...around 7:30...her flight was to leave around 8pm and get in around 11pm so I told YEP...I'll come and get you......
SO I chill out...watch a bit of tv...at 9:30 I check the flight status...yep on time...yeah...

My oh my...how time flies...It just was Saturday wasn't it???
Well my "Sweet" Saturday was wonderful. I got to spend some good quality time with DIVA #1 and yes pictures did take place...We both ended up having the omelete which was soooo yummy! Ugh my camera died...I need to make sure I charge my batteries...ugh!!! They are charging now...as MeMe is arriving today...
DIVA #1 gave me the most wonderful present for watching the ultimate diva kitty a cool dfly plate that hangs in the window...yeah!!
AND a special card...I need to scan it and will post it...then it's off to be framed....it's that special.

For those of you who don't......let's just say...HOT male stripper who I used to hang out with alot...and leave it to the imagination...

On Saturday DIVA #1 and I are having breakfast at Sweet Addition...my favorite Izzy hangout....pictures will most likely ensue.

A Not SO Manic Monday
So today started off with a phone call from "B" saying he was gonna be late picking me up for work. At least he was picking me up, especially with the car dead.
I called pops and told him what was going on with the car. He's checking into parts and such.
I got to work and got the best email message. DIVA #1 sent me a message...it totally made my day. And even Dottie sent one too....The day had to be better.
It was busy. Lots of Jazz Fest stuff....made good progress.....felt a "little off" most of the day...not so cheery (as "D" said) but okay.
DIVA #1 called me and we had a good chat....I think we are gonna head to breakfast on Saturday...it will be good to see her and catch up!
I'm not depressed I guess just a little defeated...but this too will pass. I know part of it is my new medicine and such and it will just take a bit longer than I would hope to even out...but that's okay, I'm moving forward....so that is all I can do...is do my best.

UGh...
Okay last Thursday my car battery died. I didn't panic...tried not to get too excited about...was able to start my car (at work of course) and got it to the Midas down the hill. My battery was totally shot, got a new battery...down the road for $110.
UGH...so my dad tells me my battery is under warranty...so on Friday, I take my car back with my original receipt, and the new one...and got my money refunded...(it hasn't hit my account yet..but should)...well ugh...
Today...I got home after going to the "rents" and guess what??? As I was backing into my parking spot...my check engine light started flashing....ugh NOW my car is totally dead....I need an alternator now....for the love of pete...can't I catch a break???

Big Picture Scrapbooking
In an effort to scrapbook better, I am gonna take an on-line class from Donna Downey...A Big Picture Scrapbook class. With all the new stuff in the Angel Company catalog that is geared toward scrapbooking, I need to.
I'm gonna take one month of her classes in October.....so I can get thru the Jazz Fest and WAG - Western Angel Gathering and just concentrate on those classes.
Yesterday on her blog, she posted these cute little scrapbooks/photo holders she got at Michaels ($1 each), so I called and when I was feeling better, I went to go get a few, to encourage myself to take her classes.
SO here's to more new creativeness!
Update on the new medication...
Well, I've made it thru feeling icky for the most part and my blood sugar seems to be stabilizing during the day. On Friday, I took my evening pill, was sorta sleepy on Saturday and felt icky...by the afternoon I felt better. Sad news...my blood sugar hasn't changed in the am yet, BUT it does take time for the medicine to absorb into the system and start working...SO I'm not getting discouraged....I will keep marching forward!!!

Update on day 2 of my New Medication....so far so good. I wasn't sleepy at work and I had a bit of an upset tummy....and a bit dizzy...but not the "other" side effect...YEAH!
I must confess, as it got around lunchtime....I was feeling really good. SO....here's to day two!

A little relaxation...
So after my doc's appt I headed to Sweet Additions. I did get a call from DIVA #1 and she offered me to go to the hideaway in the woods for a break and to read out on the deck. I ended up not going as I had to get back to town, get my meds and do a bank deposit for the appt bldg.
Okay back to a little relaxation....
I headed to S.A. and got a nice lunch. I sat down and truly enjoyed relaxing and reading. My lunch was good and I left there feeling good in general and ready to go forward with the new course of action.
I got back into town, and dropped off my prescriptions, then headed to Starbucks to get a vente iced black tea lemonade, unsweetened....then to the bank and back to get my scripts. Then back home.
So I have my new medicine and I have to wait til Tuesday to take it. So it begins....

Finally. My dr's appointment was here. I got up on Monday and did a few things around the apartment...but basically just took it easy. Around 10:15, I headed to the dr's. When I got there...I started to get nervous. Why??? well not sure what to expect from the new doc.
So I checked in, sat down....and waited.
Then my name was called. SO....i got up and headed in. The nurse was very nice but somewhat nervous....ugh....but then the doctor came in and we really talked. We talked about diabetes, we talked about being a team and doing what needed to be done. How we were gonna accomplish it and set down a plan of attack. I have to say that this was the best diabetic meeting I have had.
We changed my medication, and are going to monitor me a little closer. I go back in 6 weeks, okay actually 7 as she is on vacation. At that time, we will add some other medications.
I am a little worried about my new diabetic medication, cuz it does have some side effects...and I actually am showing 2 of them. I am hoping as I get used to the medication, that they will subside. I take 1 of the new tablets every morning....for one week. Then I take one tablet in the morning and one at night. The other medicine is what I am taking now...but I just take one in the morning now. So, I've been a little sleepy, a little queszy and well a little...ugh....hopefully it won't be sooo bad tomorrow as I have to go to work. BUT at least it is Wednesday...and only 3 days for the week.
Anyways.....I am excited about the changes....just got to hang in there!!!

What is your happiness today?
Since I have last blogged, a lot has happened. Some good, some bad, some just some.
I ended my stay at DIVA #1 and then headed home for a full 5 days off from work.
And then I got sick. I don't know if it was all the stress catching up with me, if I was truly sick with the flu or what. All I know is that...while one is sick, it doesn't help when the freakin construction guys are jack-hammering. All. day. long. UGH!
On a bright note, the NEW TAC (The Angel Company) stamping catalog came out....wahoo! Lots of cool new things...that has me somewhat inspired to start really creating again.
"V" and I went to see The Lakehouse. It was good...a little sappy not too believable but it was enjoyable to sit in the movie theatre with my man holding hands and just relaxing.
"V" and I went to Ocean Shores late Friday night. We had a great day and a half at the beach...then back home on Sunday...in time to go to the "rents".
Pops of course was not too happy with me about being sick...but well we all do what we have to do.
SO I am fasting tonight. Why is it when you fast for a blood test...you are hungry...even when you shouldn't be?? Is it because "you aren't allowed to eat?" I think so. But I'm glad to be going to get the test to see how my diabetes is doing. I am sure I am in for a change of medicine, which will be good. I think part of the reason why I got sick and sick for so long is because my medicine isn't up to par.
I am currently putting together a scrapbook for a gal at work who is retiring. 13 years with the station. I am really gonna miss her. It seems since MeMe left....it has been a mass exitous...it certainly is not the same.
Speaking of MeMe...she's coming to town and I get to pick her up at the airport, have a quick bite to eat and then meet her parents up North to drop her off! WAHOOO!!! It will be sooo good to see her....short as it may be....but so good. I've got it on my calendar already!!!
So back to the blood test...I keep putting off what I am thinking....hoping it will go away...far far away. Monday I go to a different doctor to get the results...a new doctor to me. SO I am trying to not be so nervous about it as you never know what they will say....but hey I've got to do this...it's a step in the right direction!
Oh and I'm heading to Portland on Saturday, Heather and I are gonna carpool...it's a meeting for TAC for our WAG seminar in September. It should be lots of fun.
So...back to Monday. I have decided to treat myself after my doctor appointment. I'm gonna go to Sweet Additions to have a late lunch and read some of my book. To relax - oh and I have Monday off....vacation day. Yeah!

One more day to go...

I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying at home...getting caught up with life. Re-organizing and getting things finished around the apartment. Hopefully there will be a photoshoot.
"V"'s got the honey-dew list of sorts. But he's excited to help, cuz he knows me. He knows....how much this stuff that has been pushed aside needs to get done for me so I can "live" the way I need to. And being organized means having more time for "us".

An update of sorts
So it appears I have been neglecting my blog.
So sorry little blog.
IF any of you are interested in why the neglect (please don't turn me into the BPS (Blog protective services) *snort* here's the 4-1-1.
As of last week Friday night I've been staying at DIVA #1's hideaway in the woods. Much needed I will say.
I just love it there!!! SO peaceful. BUT...I've been doing the run to home and back again. AND at the hideaway...there is no computer...ha! which I think is good and bad...not sure which one wins more...lol!
SO let's recap.
FRIDAY - I finally got my hair altered. Yes it finally got cut and colored...or as I say "altered" it's a more artsy term...and well...in denial of any gray hairs...i use "alter" so there. So after discussing with Jan the one who does the altering...my dislikes of the last alter....she adjusts, fixes, gripes, gives me a hard time...BUT finally does what I want done...and actually gave me a break in price. YEAH! Afterwards, I headed to DIVA #1's....relaxed with Dottie the ultimate diva kitty!
Got up Sat morning...did a few errands and headed to the apartment - yes the apartment. I stopped at Pac Supply and picked up a few things and off I went. Did what I had to do and then....ta da...back to the hideaway. YES!
After a relaxing evening and a sleep over with "V" tee hee....shhhh don't tell DIVA #1...NOT...lol! Sunday was a lazy morning. Did a few things...read, relaxed...went to Sweet Additions for breakfast...and then to the office for a bit of work....that needed to be done. Just to get it done. Then off to the "rents" for dinner. After dinner stopped at good ole Walgreen's and got a few things that I needed....and low and behold they have M&M's now for the Pirates of the Carrabina movie....Sweet....can't wait to see that. Then back to the hideaway for a good nite's sleep.
Oh Monday...monday monday....got to work....forgot about the shortcut from the hideaway to the office....must ask Sugar Momma or Smooth about it again....but had a productive day...SO SO SO glad I came in to do the "stuff" on Sunday. Made the day much easier. UGH still haven't gotten reimbursed for "B"'s Survival Baby shower....ugh......money money money....ME ME...come back!!!!!! Moneyman needs you!!!!! Okay so do I!!! After work I headed back to the apartment - as I needed to pick up something from a tenant and distribute notices about the upcoming water metering. PLUS I wanted to make sure TAR knew I had been around so he won't be a turd...and say something....better to be safe than sorry!!! SO then I headed back...poor diva kitty dottie....it had stormed while I was gone....so I made sure to give her an extra bunch of lovin. OH report on two new season shows....TNT - The Closer...very good...I got addicted to it last season...and a brand new show....SAVED also on TNT....Awesome....let's hope the stay on!!!
Tuesday.....took the "Back Alley Sally" (as smooth calls it) way to work.....wahooo...no freeway at all!!!! Had a good day....starting to get stuff ready for me to go on vacation!!! YEAH ME!!! I talked to Me Me....it was good to chat with her....she took some amazing pics during her trip to Europe....made me long again to go back.....its amazing how a picture, a word, a song or a thought can transport you back....I was remembering the time in Belguim....hummm funny stories and such a fun time!!! Hello...back to reality....okay so after work I headed to the hideaway to check on diva kitty dottie...and then off to do a few errands. DIVA #1 called and so I chatted with her a bit....(Sending you big hugs) and then off for a little exploring - OMG...I so want to move over by DIVA #1 - in due time....I loved just the feel of the area...the people, shops, etc etc etc....I stopped at this one market and got a few goodies for lunch and dinner and then back to the hideaway.
SO I started doing some "house stuff" like laundry, taking out trash, the daily litter box...and playing with diva kitty....we had some fun....and then my two most favorite shows....Deadliest Catch on Discovery and Rescue Me on FX....Deadliest Catch has been interesting for me to watch since I used to work in the Fishing Industry and have been to all those places they go...and Rescue Me....what an awesome show...in between diva kitty and I were playing with her fishing pool birds...too funny....then off to dream land.

FRIDAY - I finally got my hair altered. Yes it finally got cut and colored...or as I say "altered" it's a more artsy term...and well...in denial of any gray hairs...i use "alter" so there. So after discussing with Jan the one who does the altering...my dislikes of the last alter....she adjusts, fixes, gripes, gives me a hard time...BUT finally does what I want done...and actually gave me a break in price. YEAH! Afterwards, I headed to DIVA #1's....relaxed with Dottie the ultimate diva kitty!
Got up Sat morning...did a few errands and headed to the apartment - yes the apartment. I stopped at Pac Supply and picked up a few things and off I went. Did what I had to do and then....ta da...back to the hideaway. YES!
After a relaxing evening and a sleep over with "V" tee hee....shhhh don't tell DIVA #1...NOT...lol! Sunday was a lazy morning. Did a few things...read, relaxed...went to Sweet Additions for breakfast...and then to the office for a bit of work....that needed to be done. Just to get it done. Then off to the "rents" for dinner. After dinner stopped at good ole Walgreen's and got a few things that I needed....and low and behold they have M&M's now for the Pirates of the Carrabina movie....Sweet....can't wait to see that. Then back to the hideaway for a good nite's sleep.
Oh Monday...monday monday....got to work....forgot about the shortcut from the hideaway to the office....must ask Sugar Momma or Smooth about it again....but had a productive day...SO SO SO glad I came in to do the "stuff" on Sunday. Made the day much easier. UGH still haven't gotten reimbursed for "B"'s Survival Baby shower....ugh......money money money....ME ME...come back!!!!!! Moneyman needs you!!!!! Okay so do I!!! After work I headed back to the apartment - as I needed to pick up something from a tenant and distribute notices about the upcoming water metering. PLUS I wanted to make sure TAR knew I had been around so he won't be a turd...and say something....better to be safe than sorry!!! SO then I headed back...poor diva kitty dottie....it had stormed while I was gone....so I made sure to give her an extra bunch of lovin. OH report on two new season shows....TNT - The Closer...very good...I got addicted to it last season...and a brand new show....SAVED also on TNT....Awesome....let's hope the stay on!!!
Tuesday.....took the "Back Alley Sally" (as smooth calls it) way to work.....wahooo...no freeway at all!!!! Had a good day....starting to get stuff ready for me to go on vacation!!! YEAH ME!!! I talked to Me Me....it was good to chat with her....she took some amazing pics during her trip to Europe....made me long again to go back.....its amazing how a picture, a word, a song or a thought can transport you back....I was remembering the time in Belguim....hummm funny stories and such a fun time!!! Hello...back to reality....okay so after work I headed to the hideaway to check on diva kitty dottie...and then off to do a few errands. DIVA #1 called and so I chatted with her a bit....(Sending you big hugs) and then off for a little exploring - OMG...I so want to move over by DIVA #1 - in due time....I loved just the feel of the area...the people, shops, etc etc etc....I stopped at this one market and got a few goodies for lunch and dinner and then back to the hideaway.
SO I started doing some "house stuff" like laundry, taking out trash, the daily litter box...and playing with diva kitty....we had some fun....and then my two most favorite shows....Deadliest Catch on Discovery and Rescue Me on FX....Deadliest Catch has been interesting for me to watch since I used to work in the Fishing Industry and have been to all those places they go...and Rescue Me....what an awesome show...in between diva kitty and I were playing with her fishing pool birds...too funny....then off to dream land.

A fond memory of sorts for DIVA #1 and MeMe
So the project that would never die...re-appeared today. UGH got a call from the client asking for 4 more sets. Are YOU kidding me??? Luckily, I had 4 samples left...so out they went into the mail.
BUT on the way home...I made a stop and instantly thought of MeMe and DIVA #1.
Can you guess what these two have in common or not???
Okay...I'll tell you all...it's kind of a weird combo - but...here it goes...
I went to Taco Time and ordered the NEW Chicken Chimayo Salad in the drive thru...and while I was ordering.....the PANDA man pulled up behind me.
Get it???

I'll explain....MeMe loves Taco Time and there is NO TACO TIME in the land of OZ...and DIVA #1 loves the PANDA man (which is a resturant that has a delivery service).
So at the end of my day...after sitting in traffic for over an hour and being a bit irked...my day ended with a big smile thinking of my friends.

Just shoot me now and get it over with...
UGH....I was finally starting to relax....I knew that something was abrew. I knew it, I knew it. Yesterday, while "V" and I were at the movies....I got a call on my cell phone. Of course, I didn't know til later....that my boss who was delivering the project had called. He didn't leave a message so I didn't call back. Okay "V" told me if I called back...he would never speak to me...lol, tough decision right??? Hmmm calling my boss....or "V"....easy. "V".
SO this evening I was just getting ready to watch Last Holiday with ll cool j and Queen l....and the phone ran. It was Jeanie from work. Asking me about tape for the display boards. Oh shit. what now??? She told me what had gone down. I said well Chrissy told me not to put any tape on there so I didn't. Although, I had thought about doing it .... but after Chrissy kept saying no...decided not to. UGH...I hate when I know that I should do something...and am told not to and then do what I am told. I should just go with what I know and my gut reaction.

Will this project ever be finished?
So the project...that I have been working on forevah...is finally ready to be assembled. All the pcs get delivered before noon. I start working on putting tape on the backs of each pad of entry blanks, once finished placing tape on all 140 pads I start adhering 70 of the pads onto the display boards. Finished.....SO I get ready to start putting all the items into the envelopes....when...(insert dramatic music here) Chrissy tells me....I think we should order another 70 pads. UGH...so I called Kinkos...and asked when they could be delivered. Friday...by 11am. Whew...so I could get everything ready before 1pm. Done deal...yeah!
SO I put togeher 35 of the packets and load them into boxes.....everything looks like it's gonna work. I'll be able to leave for my 1pm hair appointment on Friday...taking the remaining half of my vacation day that I lost last Friday.
Murphy hates me. I swear. I wonder what I ever did to him.
SO I bop into work...happy ready for a half day...I'm doing my reports...singing, laughing, having fun....and then....I get a call. Kinkos called...it wouldn't be ready til 1pm. I about loose it. I say okay....my boss wanted to leave by 2:30 to deliver the project so as long as they were there by 1pm it would happen....if not...well I didn't want to think of that.
SO I call and cancel my hair appt. I have to wait til next Friday...drat drat drat...my hair really needs to be cut and colored.....but I'll have to wait to have it altered....oh well.

I left the office by 2:50 and called "V"....we decided to go see The DaVinci Code at 4pm by the office...so I had a bit of time to kill. I went and got a salad at Cucina Cucina...and had an ice tea. Then I went to meet "V"....ah finally...the project is gone....gone, gone...yeah!!!

It's 2:35am on Wed night/Thurs morning. I am wide awake. I so need to go to sleep. Sleep is no where to be found.
I have two options. Try and sleep. Or wait til Starbucks opens in 2 hours and get coffee and come home and make breakfast. OMG...I can't believe I am thinking about going to Starbucks in two hours when it opens. This is sick. This is sooo wrong.

Celebrate and don't forget to Rescue Me
SO "V" called while I was at Kinko's and said hey let's celebrate....meet me at chili's...so off I went. He had already gotten a table and had an order of chips and salsa waiting. AND a very nice cold tropical drink that we shared.
*Swoon* gosh he is he best. We had Cajun steak and a relaxing "date", "V" had to go to work, and I headed home....just in time to watch...the Season Premiere of "Rescue Me"....

UGH....so back at work.....the PROJECT was facing me.
Finally got the Display sign all approved. I took the disc to Kinkos....and off and running.
Siggy had helped me with the logos...so all I needed was a logo from the one client who kept changing and holding us up. Finally...finally....I got their logo...so I headed back to Kinkos and dropped off the tear cards...finally...the project is totally at the printers!!!
YEAH - doing the happy dance!!!

Friday night we just curled up, lit a fire and watched a movie. What a nice way to end a crazy week. UGH...
Saturday was much of the same. Relaxing, rainy, we read, we talked, we laughed..."V" had to go to work....but at least we had some time together.
He got home sooo late...but I made him breakfast when he got home. Sunday, much of the same, relaxing, he worked in the afternoon...I headed to the "rents" for dinner.
On the way up to the "rents" I had to make 3 stops. I needed to stop and see my crazy customers...which is always fun. I had their last order with me...and of course, they ordered more stuff. We had a great chat it's always fun to see them. We made another date to get together when the new catalog arrives.
Then off to Paper Zone. I needed to get some easel backs for the project that I've been working on forever..ugh....they only had 6 packs...and I need 14....ugh...so I grabbed those, and headed up to the Everett. Stopped at that PZ and got 5 more packs. I have 4 in the drawer at work...so I was good to go.
Finally...I make it to the "rents" we have a good chat, a great dinner...and then off home I went.

A comedy of errors
Friday. My day off. My vacation day. My day to sleep in. YEAH.
I woke up to "V" coming home and crawling into bed. Was that a nice way to wake up. We drifted off to sleep.....only to wake up within an hour to the very loud construction noise. UGH.
So after much debate we got up. Went to watch a little tv and then....I got a call.
CE called from work. His client had the display ready and they would be sending it within the hour. "V" and I talked. He decided to go home and get at least a nap. I got ready and headed to the office. "V" and I decided to meet after I was done with work and go see The Da Vinci Code. SO the plan would be meet in Issaquah for either the 3, 3:30 or 4pm showing. Possible. YES.
I got to work, and everything that could go wrong with the project did. Logos were fuzzy (ours) and the sent it in a pdf version which I could not alter. I started to recreate it. The client said they would send the original file over. We waited no file. Finally we asked for Siggy's help. She started to recreate it. All said and done...I left the office at 3:15. And headed to Kinkos. It had started to rain.
I get to Kinko's drop off the project and head to the theatre. It was really raining. "V" called, he had just got to Issaqauh. We both head to the theatre. WE both get there at 4pm. We look for parking....NONE....I call him...hey let's go get dinner then go to the 6:45 showing. Agreed. Round table here we come. We get to Round Table....
AND A BIG BOLT of Lighting Crashed down....too close for comfort. It was Pouring....Noah's Ark pouring...lol. We parked and ran into Round Table...both soaked from the rain. We ordered, were sitting down eating our pizza....and the lights went out. UGH....finally they came back on.
We headed over to Kinko's - project proof was ready. There was a problem with the etw tear cards....the black version of the logos were bust. AND Cin needed to approve the sign. Well at least we are to the proof part. Finally. UGH.....so it was still raining and "V" looked at me and said 'Babe, let's go home.' So home we went.

Blasted....Foiled....UGH!!!!
I've been working on this HUGE project at work. Yesterday was the deadline to get it to the printers so that a color proof could be returned and if there were additional color changes they could be made today.
WELL...one of the clients has been slow to say the least on getting back with approval. TODAY at the last deadline to get a proof today I went into my boss and said hey we need to do this. SO he told me to go ahead....so I did. I got all my documents printed on my printer, my notes, the files on cd and had called the printer to pick up the job.
I was so happy...I knew that I was gonna have Friday off...no work....totally relaxing...I went to heat up my Smokin' Pete's BBQ Sandwich and got a dt dr pepper as a treat and headed back to my desk....
AND THEN INSERT DRAMATIC MUSIC......
they called and now have changes.....this puts us back 3 full business days from our original deadline.
I just want to cry....I am actually pretty calm about it. And just want to make sure it's done, and done correctly....cuz bottom line...its my responsibility.

he wrote me a note. And included in the note was a reminder to tell Tony to change 2 lightbulbs in the garage when he came by to clean the building today.

Recap of Season Finale's
MY heart is still beating from watching 24 on Monday. The first 21 minutes without commercial were amazing. AND WOWZA....what a great ending to the season. I was very disappointed when Jack went without question to take a call from KIM. HELLO....she told you she never wanted to see you again. AND what 10 hours later, you think she'd call. UGH. BUT I was even surprised. I originally thought it was Logan's goons who kept calling Logan...but NO...the Chinese...I guess revenge is best when served cold. January 07 is bound to be awesome!!!
And let's not forget CSI Miami. Good episode. Glad the MOLE was revealed. And I always love "H's" last words.....Eric we're going to Brazil.

Sunday sunday sunday
A nice day of rest. Did a few things around the building and just basically took it easy.
Much needed rest was had. I needed to prepare for the week ahead. IT will be busy. I've got "B"s survival party aka baby celebration. AND then the rest of the week....I've got lots of projects that are due and have to be sent to the printers and mailed out. I am hoping...hoping that all will go well and I can actually have FRIDAY off. I've got the day requested...I just hope it happens...wish me luck...please.

Alittle Mexican food...a drive thru the vineyards and a beer???
So Friday came and went. IT was pretty much uneventful. JUST the same ole stuff and lots of it. IT was GREAT that my boss was nowhere to be found. I got home and "V" just wanted us to chill. HE knew I was beat and would need every bit to function on Saturday.
Oh Saturday. WE got up....headed for breakfast and then back home to get ready for a day of festivities while "V" was at work. I got ready to head to Heather's bridal shower. I was running a few minutes late...but none the less I did get there a few minutes after 1pm. I was not the last one to arrive....whew....there were some people that I knew from work...and then the rest were either friends of Heathers or family.
We played a few games...I won one of the games...yeah!!! There were appetizers and lots of presents. IT was a good time...but unfortunately....I was sorta by myself. I thought for sure Cyn and I would hang out...but she was catching up with Michelle who drove up for the shower. SO there I sat....with no one to talk to....Chris was talking to Michelle and Cyn...and Susan was talking to her friend...so I felt like a big dork...sitting by myself....just stirring my ice tea as the others were deep in conversation..UGH...oh well. I'm glad I went.
THEN off to wine country. I was meeting the fellowship group at the Redhook brewery. Why we were going there...not really sure...but oh well. I had a little over an hour before I was to meet everyone...so I headed up...drove around and just had a relaxing drive around the vineyards...I got to the brewery and was soooo lucky...I found a parking spot right in front. I got out of the car and was sitting on a bench waiting to everyone. Detroit Joe and his family showed up from work...shock....they had just been out on a walk and decided to stop for bite to eat. SO a little hello and chit chat and they were off to the restaurant. Finally the others showed up. We had 9 adults and two little tots and they wouldn't hold a table for us after the tour....SO I stayed behind as the wait was like 30 minutes or more.
Everyone went on the tour and I just waited and relaxed, which was nice. The tour was over and we all got together and had a nice dinner. IT was a lot of fun...it was good to catch up with everyone and the food was fairly good, a bit pricey but good. We said goodbye and headed home. I got home just as "V" was parking...yeah!!! We headed upstairs and just relaxed and talked "V" was beat...work was just crazy. And he was just so sooore. SO I drew him a bath added some nice bubbles...got him a beer and told him to relax....I gave him a nice rub down...and I made him a late dinner....and we curled up on the couch and watch a couple of episodes of Rescue Me and off to sleep we went.
Oh Saturday. WE got up....headed for breakfast and then back home to get ready for a day of festivities while "V" was at work. I got ready to head to Heather's bridal shower. I was running a few minutes late...but none the less I did get there a few minutes after 1pm. I was not the last one to arrive....whew....there were some people that I knew from work...and then the rest were either friends of Heathers or family.
We played a few games...I won one of the games...yeah!!! There were appetizers and lots of presents. IT was a good time...but unfortunately....I was sorta by myself. I thought for sure Cyn and I would hang out...but she was catching up with Michelle who drove up for the shower. SO there I sat....with no one to talk to....Chris was talking to Michelle and Cyn...and Susan was talking to her friend...so I felt like a big dork...sitting by myself....just stirring my ice tea as the others were deep in conversation..UGH...oh well. I'm glad I went.
THEN off to wine country. I was meeting the fellowship group at the Redhook brewery. Why we were going there...not really sure...but oh well. I had a little over an hour before I was to meet everyone...so I headed up...drove around and just had a relaxing drive around the vineyards...I got to the brewery and was soooo lucky...I found a parking spot right in front. I got out of the car and was sitting on a bench waiting to everyone. Detroit Joe and his family showed up from work...shock....they had just been out on a walk and decided to stop for bite to eat. SO a little hello and chit chat and they were off to the restaurant. Finally the others showed up. Baaaadddd Kitty aka Dottie
So I get an email from DIVA #1 about Dottie her cat...and we trade emails back and forth here's the conversation...
DIVA #1 - So, looking for my cat to say goodbye this morning - no where to be found. Did the "rattle the food dish" trick. You will NEVER guess where she came from... go ahead guess...
DFLY - behind/underneath the couch

DIVA #1 - On top of the kitchen cabinets, She came down from top, onto the fridge, onto the counter and down... baaaaaaaaaaaaad kitty.

I had too chuckle, because when I took care of Dottie, when I came back to the villa on Saturday afternoon...I had to search for Dottie. I kept calling her...by her name, or kitty, and I finally found her sound asleep on the chair. Got an email from DIVA #1...and that deserves it owns post... Forgot to save my spreadsheet when I got an email from DIVA #2 about a utilities fee on a renter...ugh I had to open up the rent report...and when I closed it...it closed my avails spreadsheet. drat. drat. drat. Oh well. My boss was leaving at noon. WHO CARES how long it takes to pull those darn reports...and re-fill in the spreadsheet!

Worked on a couple more projects and then I called Momma....now that conversation deserves a post all it's own tooo, BUT to protect Momma...I'll just say this. From now on whenever I refer to my parents as the "Rents" I will get a BIG SMILE and a LITTLE CHUCKLE..tee hee.
I decided to head out for lunch....yes it was 1:30 and I was craving a granita. Yes a grown up coffee slurpee. BUT only one place makes them sugar-free so I headed over to Crossroads to Jitters...YES I AM CHEATING ON MY BARISTA!!!! I get a Sugar-Free Granita with Sugar-Free Almond....Mondo....I am in heaven. Then the really cute barista boy called me "MISS" so he got a $3.00 tip. I got a huge smile on my face. I HATE being called Ma'am. The only time I like it is if it is a military dude and he's in uniform....there is something sorta dreamy about that...BUT that is the only time I like being called Ma'am. USUALLY, I correct whomever says it...BUT LET ME TELL YOU...being called "MISS" just made my day!!!

It's Wednesday and the piss off factor is 8.3
WOW...it's only Wednesday and I've had a week.
UGH.
Sigh...
Deep breath. Breathe in hold it....breathe out.
Things are crazy at work. The festival is sold out for both days. YEAH. AND. NOW. THE. WORK. FOR. ME. BEGINS.
(ducks and runs...far far away...to the villa in the woods aka Diva #1's place. ) tee hee.
UGH. SO. I have tons of recaps...recrap. And P.O.P.'s to do. Deadlines. Things to send to the printer. Things that need approval before sending to the printer. People taking vacation...then a 3 day weekend coming up, me trying to take an extra day off. This is causing pure havoc.
UGH.
And then...Sugarmomma throws me a project at 5pm. Due at 11:00 in the am. Normally not a big deal. But Alan is on vacation and I am having to pull all the reports before entering them into the spreadsheet. UGH...so that takes til about 10am each morning to do. SO I was a little ticked to say the least. I think I yelled "ARE YOU KIDDING ME???" I ended staying late to get it done. Took about an hour. It's done. I haven't printed it yet. Just saved saved and saved. I'll put it into her box to review in the AM before final printing...but knowing "M" I'll need to final print it as she will get into work just before her appointment and won't have time to look at it. Drat. Piss off factor in effect. Ha ha ha.
I guess I should explain the piss off factor. At work we have access to a program called traffic.com. They show how bad the traffic is. They rate it on a jam factor. SO good ole "B" always throws me stuff at the last second too...but at least he realizes it...and so he teases me and says hey now...what's the piss off factor...it's usually no higher than a 6.5...eeks...but today...8.3. I got over it as soon as I said "Are You Kidding Me???" That usually works.
But the best news is......

Season Finales
WOW...
Grey's Anatomy. I am still in shock of the season finale. So heart wrenching. So tender. So shocking. So Amazing. I can't believe it's over. I didn't start watching the show til Feb, and I still haven't seen Season 1, I do have it on dvd. But I haven't watched it yet and am looking forward to watching it this summer. I will be getting Season 2 on dvd as soon as it is available. This is such a great show.
CSI Miami - I can't wait to see what happens next. I am sad that H's wife/Delco's sis died but it gives "H" the edge for revenge.
And 24...my heart is still racing. Kieffer never disappoints. I am sad that next week will be the end and it will take forever til the next season starts. OH well, summer time is here.
AND with Summer time....it's time for RESCUE ME....I caught the last few episodes of Season 2 last summer.....and got hooked. I watched all of Season 1 on dvd...and Season 2 just came out..I've watched the first 4 episodes...12 more to go before the 30th....eeeeks! LOL....oh well, I've got a long weekend coming up and a few days off!

Happy Mum's Day
OH Sunday....what a lazy day. "V" and I hung out and just relaxed. I headed to Costco and picked up a few things for work. While I was there I picked up a fun pasta salad and headed to the "rents".
I had a pink flamingo wind sock for Mum...I think she liked it. It didn't seem as she was having a very good day. She was very distracted but seemed happy.
Dad bbq'd salmon and we had a really nice dinner and strawberry blackberry shortcake...it was really tasty.
I headed home...oh my watch to watch....Survivor of course...and then Grey's. I thought I was gonna loose it....Survivor was still going when Grey's started...Thank goodness for the DVR. I watched Aras win Survivor...then flipped to Grey's - started watching from the beginning, fast forwarding thru the commercials then live...lol....whoever created the dvr...thank you!!!!
UGH...the weekend flew by so quickly....ttfn...

A Sunny Saturday
OH yeah! Saturday! My whole schedule is changed on Saturday's now. Tony comes to clean the building at 10am-ish. SO I must be up and at em and out before he shows up. I realized when he stopped by this last weekend...and we chatted for a bit....that he didn't stay and do all the stuff. NOTE to self...he's got a scheduled time and need to not be around so he can get stuff done.
So I got up early on Saturday, did a few things I needed to went and got Starbucks and picked up breakfast and headed to "V"'s.
We had a great late breakfast and a nice little snuggle and a little nap. I got up, leaving him to sleep..he's been working sooo much lately, poor guy! I had a few appointments to show the apartment, took care of that and off to go see my crazy customers!

I have been having issues with the exit signs at the building, they keep going out. Tony keeps changing them and out again they go. SO I had one of the handy dudes stop by and check em out, thinking there might be a short. Well it turns out that we had the wrong bulbs. HOW is that possible??? SO Tony being the great guy he is pulled one out of the sign and left it for me to go get new bulbs.
So off to PS again....and as usual I get there like 5 minutes before they close. IT happens every time. The counter guys just start laughing when I show up. I don't know where stuff is in the store...so I just head to the counter with what it is I have and say I need a case of these...they just laugh grab whatever it is I need...and ring me up.

Me and My BIG Ideas
I've had an interesting week being an apt manager. WOWZA....if I could tell you all the details...you would think I was making it up...lol...I'll just say this...are you kidding me??? LOL..I think when I am done with this part of my life I will not only write a book about my adventures in Alaska, but I will write a book about being an apartment manager.
SO it's almost been a full year since I started doing this. I can't believe it has almost been a year...time has flown by so quickly. Knowing what I know now, would I do it again??? Yes, differently, but yes...not too differently - just in a few situations.
How long will I continue to do this??? I don't know...a couple years perhaps???

Are You Kidding Me???
UGH...so Monday I had a horrible day. It started with having lots of deadlines. Which is normal.
I worked on reports...and then a project for "D" and then this huge crazy project for Sugarmomma. UGH....what the???
I started working on this project...and well..I needed MeMe's help. I emailed her and WOWZA..in like less than 5 minutes...she emailed me back with part of it....Whew...then I called my business manager and asked about some other stuff....he's like...call Norm...ugh...I am SO not calling the owner. UGH....then MeMe...to the rescue..she got me a partial list....so I started working on it some more. I was yahooing, googling and searching and checking the info from MeMe to see if the missing info was contained in those...UGH...NO.....so I'm about 2/3rds of the way done...and then....tada! I hit paydirt. I decided to call the headquarter office....and tada...someone actually helped me.
I finished the project and off it went to Sugarmomma....and it was perfect! YEAH!!! I still need to fax MeMe a copy of it so she has it for her files...cuz YOU never know when you need that crazy info.

Trying to cure my addition to Blockbuster Video
hi, my name is dfly and I'm addicted to blockbuster video. So here's my story. Since I started working in radio, I have been using blockbuster for various reasons.I even get blockbuster online...love the delivery to the mailbox and the free in-store rental per week.
WELL...I actually had to get a Hollywood Video rental card. Now mind you I wasn't forced, but usually what I do is order videos for me and my mom and I get 'em, watch 'em and send 'em to the rents. So my mom is hooked on six feet under, I have never seen it...why not so sure..but I haven't. So I order her season 5 on Blockbuster and disk one says long wait, disc two and the remaining are either short wait or available. WELL....last Saturday, disc two showed up in the mailbox. Now what to do, what to do.
I call Blockbuster stores no Season Five, I call Hollywood...yep they've got it. So on my way up to the "rents" on Sunday, I stop at the local Hollywood Video store. I walk up to the counter and say to the clerk....I need to sign up for a membership, but only if you have Six Feet Under Season Five Disc One. He looks at me...checks his computer, yep we've got it. He asks me to fill out the application and goes to get the disc for me.

So the two clerks just start randomly quoting lines from a movie. The other customers are looking at them very strangely. I try not to bust out laughing. I am just crackin up...the are quoting lines from "Clerks" they are doing Dante and Russell lines....so out of nowhere as I am paying for my disc I say...
"I'm not even supposed to be here today"
they just stopped, stared at me....said "kewl" she does get it...

SO I must say my first experience at Hollywood Video was very funny and well worth the $1.99 rental for my mom.

Breakfast in lack of Tulipville
Last Sunday, I meet Momma and her sis for Sunday Breakfast or brunch at Calico Cupboard in Mt. Vernon.It was such a fun, cute place...we could have stayed there all day. I ordered the smoked salmon, cream cheese omelette...yummy!
We laughed, and talked, and laughed some more. All in all it was a great visit!
I had been wishful thinking that the tulips would still be out in full bloom. BUT NO....just a small patch on the side of the road. Next year, I will definately have to go back while they are in bloom A friend had told me that I should go and check out the apple blossoms as they were just a pretty, in a different way than the tulips. WHO knows....road trip "V"??

Rain, Mud and 4x4in
So we reach the secret location for the illegal 4x4'in...tee hee....okay it was private property BUT we were with the owner....we had a blast....there was sooo much mud and so many laughs.When we finished we pulled into the circle lot and the hosing of the vehicles began.
We all went inside and curled up to the fire. It was pork and beans and all sorts of comfort food to be had by all.
Back to the city we headed. We saw a house and stopped and looked at it. We talked about what it would be like to move back to where we grew up....eeks...nice to visit but not to stay.

Can You Hear Me Now?
OMG...so "V" got to my place after working all night around 7:30ish and he was tired, but glad to see me. HE was sooo funny and almost kid like. He said I'm sleepy, but I wanna play, I'm hungry and was something yummy to drink. LOL...I was trying so hard not to crack up. I said Okay, what do you want, I'll go get it. He crawls into the warm bed and snuggles...and says...I want bacon (movie line-if you can guess the movie....a special prize will be yours) So he says, no really I want a mickey d's bacon egg cheese biscuit, and a starbucks carmel apple cider. SO off I went to get the treats for my man.
I get back and he's sooo sleepy. He gets up and says lets go play in the mud today. Well okay, why not???? We eat breakfast and get into the shower to get ready to play in the mud.
We hop into the truck and head off to peninsula...it is pouring, raining, cold and pouring. We laugh and talk about our favorite things gowing up. Some how, I loose my phone in his truck...ugh can you hear me now??? IT ended up being lost for a very long time....ugh!!!

Headed to Starbucks..our normal guy isn't there...so we try and throw off the new person. Doesn't work - but they get a chuckle.
SO I give "B" my order....a vente shaken iced tazo black tea lemonade....he thinks i'm crazy. He relays it to the speaker in the drive thru...then does his order...tall drip two splenda non-fat milk in a grande cup for driving room. He asks which order is more difficult...he is so sure it is mine...
NOPE....they say the tall drip!

Oh to be an Assistant
Wednesday was Administrative Assistants Day. AND lookie what I got! They love me..they really love me!!! AND I love them right back. I've got such a great team of sales people to work with! Later in the day...the office celebrated with a Baskin Robbins Sundae Party!!!
Shopping for baby
Tuesday left me in a very puzzled state of mind. A person at work who recently had a baby, was having a baby shower on Wednesday. NOW mind you, I really like 97% of the people I work with...there are about a total of 3 that I can't stand. Okay maybe only 2 no it's 3. AND it takes a LOT to make me not like you. Let me tell you...A LOT. SO this person who there was going to be a shower for is the 1st one of these people. BUT I love babies....and so I struggled with going to the party, making a hand made book (like I normally do) and even buying a present for the baby. WHO by default I love all babies. SO I decided to head to Fred Meyer after work to see if anything could get me in the mood to embrace the party on Wednesday.
SO I head into Fred Meyer...and I love our Fred Meyer...I peek around at a few things...get a few things that I need...then head to the baby section. THE very first thing I see is a football rattle. A must purchase for "B" and baby bubba. Okay I was now in the mood to buy an outfit for baby Abby. SO I got this very cute onesie that was green and pink with dfly's on it...of course!

Recap of the weekend...
Okay so Saturday I got up and headed to go see Diva #1 for breakfast at the usual hangout. Sweet Additions. I had the most wonderful breakfast...ugh I forgot the camera...next time, next time. I had a 3-egg omelet and it had fresh lightly sauteed veggies in it....yummm!
Diva #1 and I had a great catch up chat. Lots of laughs...it was so good just to relax and spend time with her. Oh Hod....and his unusual son...Odd Todd...lol.
Then off to Pac Supply for stuff for the apt bldg. Oh I'm gonna be the non-smoking nazi...got everything and then headed to Smokin Pete's to pick up a HOT link for my Pops. Surprised him at the shop, gave him the hot link and hung out for a bit. Then back home I went. "V" had to go to work...and then Sunday Sunday Sunday...
Had a relaxing sleepy morning with "V" after he got off work....then headed up to the "rents" had a good visit...then home again....
Monday Monday Monday...off to work I went....nothing too exciting til I got home, and then I passed out all the notices, and placed all the no smoking signs...and then off to watch 24.

Rock band, Race horse or Adult film???
Yes...it's time for the horse races....a group of us from the office went to the horse races at Emerald Downs. I wanted to bring my camera and take pictures...but NO...no pictures I was told. I had to go along because "B" was my ride and well...I didn't want to get stuck down south.
On the way down to the track, "B" and I played Rock Band, Race Horse or Adult Film. Here's a few for you to try and figure out....Mineweaver; Just Chub; Manhattan Lad; So What's Your Point?; My Heartson Cowboy; Hope Wish & Luck; Just Outrageous...we had many a laughs on the way down.
When we got there....we had awesome seats inside...next to the glass...we placed our bets...had a few bevvies, and ordered some grub..not to be confused with the horse Just chub. We had many a laughs about that name. I had to bite my tongue a few times...the ex husband cracks just wanted to fly out of my mouth....Mr Detriot said...Revenge is best served cold...lol...we had a blast. We renamed the horse My Heartson Cowboy to brokeback Mountain...and we say a horse of a different colour...all in all...we didn't win...much...we had a blast, food was good, bevvies were awesome and the time spent together - priceless. WE will definately go back!!!

Well it's been a pretty uneventful week, went by too quickly. Did the normal things, including Smokin Pete's BBQ Thursday Survivor with "V"...lol he is just crackin' me up lately.

Latest creation
Here is a scan (now that I have figured out my new scanner) of a card I did for a swap with the TAC gals. It was for the glaze pen technique. All the bright colors on the stamped flip flops and the beach bag have been colored in with the pens. I kinda went overboard as the embellishments were whatever you wanted to use. SO I braided some twine for the handle of the bag, I used these flowered brads I have had forever and included a drink umbrella and a pair of sunglasses. Enjoy!!!

Here there everywhere
OOOh Monday. Well the day started off after leaving Diva #1's place. I headed to work. Stopped at Panera breads and got a muffin and some yummy hazelnut flavored coffee. Off to work I went.
Was a pretty busy day.....got a lot done. AND then...it was time to do all the errands. I needed to run to Pacific Supply and get lightbulbs for the apartment building. They were closed on Saturday for Easter and so I was like drat drat drat - so on Monday...I left work at 5:30 and made it there with just 5 minutes to spare before they closed. I got all the light bulbs I needed and TADA..they had graffiti cleaner..got a can of that too! Now I am totally prepared. Okay now that I have it, it will never happen again - Murphy's Law!
Up North I headed...need to drop off a few things for one of my customers.....whew....made it home...lugged everything upstairs....time to relax and take it easy for the night!

So the rest of my Saturday went pretty good. My two crazy customers just crack me up. We went over their orders, and they ordered some more. Can't beat that! I had an appointment back in Bellevue, so off I went. It started to rain. then. pour. then. pour. some more.
I finished my appointment and off I was to see ms. dottie again. When I arrived she was no where to be found...then I found her....apparently I woke her up...lol.
Oh what a beautiful morning!
SO it is Saturday, I slept in, played with Dottie and then got ready to start the day. I had decided that I was gonna treat myself to breakfast. SO I headed to Sweet Additions where the Diva's usually meet. When I arrived all the tables were filled with daffodils. So springy!!! So I ordered my favorite. Herbed scrambled eggs, fresh fruit and a sugar free marionberry muffin and of course some coffee. Now I'm not to sure if the muffin actually was sugar free...but what the heck. I had a full day planned so I figured the little extra wouldn't hurt.

My breakfast arrived! Yippee! So I enjoyed it, relaxing, reading, enjoying the morning and then I headed to Seattle to meet up with my two crazy TAC customers.

To finish off the week
Okay Thursday came and went. Nothing to exciting. Busy at work as usual. "B" and I pooled as he had be in training all week. IT was nice. We hit up the good ole starbucks...yummy! Then off to work.
After work, "V" came over so we could watch Survivor before he headed to work. He brought oh no he didn't...lol....Smokin Pete's BBQ. Watch out...hot link! Dinner was great and we had fun watching Survivor. The off to work he went.
I watched CSI and Without a Trace and went to sleep....oooh my.
Friday...YEAH! I get to head to the retreat. Yippee!!! SO I got everything ready and "B" picked me up for work. We got some joe at Starbucks...and off to the office we went. Had a good day...nothing to out of the ordinary. "D" bought Kung Hu for lunch...yummy!!! And I got a new scanner ..... YEAH!!!
We headed home....and I met the new tenant to fill out his paperwork. He was out the door with his key...and I ran upstairs grabbed my stuff and off I was too see Dottie!!! Oh it was sooo nice heading out of town....as soon as I hit 1-90 I felt this big relief.
I got to the little retreat in the woods (aka Diva #1's place) and settled in. I took a picture of Reobie...and he has a little buddy in the tree too. The picture of Reobie isn't the greatest because as soon as I turned on the light under the tree, it went out. UGH! Oh well.....you will get the point.
Catching up....yet again
It seems like forever since I last blogged. I had to go look to see what was blogged last. How sad is that???
SO I promised a little bit about my fellowship meeting. So here it goes...I got there a bit early on Wednesday, with purple bunny cake and ice cream in hand. Our meeting went pretty good I thought....everyone like the snacks - yeah!!! I don't think they realized how important it was for me to have a bunny cake for my birthday....but it was and I'm glad I had so many people to share it with.
The chapter we were discussing was "Divorce" and it was a very touchy subject. I don't think Carla or Janice wanted to discuss it. BUT thanks goodness for Michael. He made sure we did. IT was interesting in some points. I told them what I thought about the chapter, some things I had personally done since reading the chapter. My thoughts, fears and such. In all, at the end of it all, I think they felt bad about giving me such a hard time about wanting to read the chapter.
The one sad thing was...I made pumpkin cry (M&L's daughter) I didn't mean to. I didn't do anything to her...but put my purse out of her reach. She really wanted to take it and empty it. Plus she was tired. SO not only did she start to cry she started to wail. UGH...I felt so bad.
Anyways....just one more meeting. I am not sure I am going to continue with this group next year, as without RJ and J-Rod it is kinda not together or organized in any sort of way.

The day after...
SO my birthday continues.
Cyn took me to lunch...back to Tokyo's we went. Had a Mt Rainier and an order of sake w/ponzu sauce. YUMMY.
After work headed to M&L's for fellowship. We were reading a chapter on Divorce. Was very interesting. I will post more later.

My birthday update
My birthday was on Tuesday, April 11. Yeah me. My birthday...yeah it was my birthday!
The day started out with phone calls and messages left on voicemail...singing Happy Birthday in a number of renditions. It was too much fun!
I headed to work as "B" has been in training all week, so I've been driving solo. I stopped and got a special latte...a chocolate almond moo.....sugarfree....yummy! Off to work I headed.
When I got there presents were on my desk!!! YEAH!!! I got some kewl stuff. AND cards galore. Then off to Tokyo for sushi lunch.
The whole sales staff was there.....we ordered a bunch of stuff....so many good things. YUMMMM. Back to the office.
"V" and I were gonna go to Chinooks for dinner but it was packed. We went to Medin's on leary. It's a Ravioli Station dine in or take out. It normally is just packed. BUT for some unknown reason...there was only one other couple there.
WE had the most amazing dinner ever. I had the special seafood ravioli. It had prawns, scallops, crab and lobster with a saffron sauce. OMG. It was served with flat bread and dipping sauce and I had a side salad with yummy dressing. I can't wait to go back.....We then headed home and relaxed watching a couple of shows.
OH "V" got me a weekend getaway to Ocean Shores for the two of us....we'll go later this year...and I can't wait!!!

OH "V" got me a weekend getaway to Ocean Shores for the two of us....we'll go later this year...and I can't wait!!!

April showers....
SO the weekend. So "V" came over on Friday after his shift bringing....Smokin' Pete's BBQ. WOWZA...how freakin good was that??? He got a pulled bbq pork sandwich for us to share, a hot link...and man was it hot, some mac cheesy, a sweet pot. cornbread muffin and a slice of pie. YUMMY!
We watched a couple shows on tv and started to snooze...we slept in and it was nice. Had a few things to do...we went for a late lunch/early dinner before he went to work. I headed over to a gal's house from work to help her work on a scrapbook. Found my way to her place, which was actually pretty amazing considering I had never been there, the directions were kinda sketchy..and the complex community was wrapped up a hill...one way. Got the book done, and headed back home. It started to pour...ugh. More rain!!! Watched Top Gun...had to...and went to sleep early.
Sunday...ugh...Mom's sick so there would be no visit to the rents. Oh well. Turkey dinner next week. We post-poned my birthday dinner....til Easter. Oh well. Did a few things around the building and took it easy for the rest of the evening. Got ready for Monday...ugh the weekends always go so fast.

Basura
On Friday I took on the enourmous task of cleaning the pit of the office. UGH....knowing that the step stool at work sucks, I brought in my own from home. I also went and bought 4 18gallon plastic tubs to store the left over stuff from Jazz Fest 2005 that we can use for Jazz Fest 2006...like paper plates, plastic silverware and cups.
I had a very busy day and had planned on starting the cleaning around 2pm...BUT circumstances always change and I ended up getting thrown into a last minute group proposal and managed to get that done without too much difficulty...hence I never started cleaning til 4pm.
I started with the bins....took inventory and closed those bad boys up, stacked them against the wall two high...and disposed of the empty boxes. Next was the supplies on the counter....unpacked those boxes and put the goodies in two drawers. Next...ugh all this old letterhead taking up room. So I got the two funnies to dispose of most of it. Out with the rest....lots more room. I took all the boxes of envies and put an envy on the outside and numbered them....then onto the shelves they went.
I got rid of the boxes and a few other things off the counter....and threw some more stuff away...and tada! Clean. The only thing I didn't get to do was gut one of the cabinets and label label label. SO I'll at least label on Monday....and perhaps throw stuff out of the one cabinet. OH and put away the christmas stockings...was just too tired to do anything more...I'll do those Monday.
UGH...I was sooo tired.....BUT I remembered to mark everything "trash" and "Basura" and so so very glad it's done.

ps...I forgot to mention, while I was target, I bought Diva #1 a little surprise for the next time I stay and take care of Dottie. tee hee....

I cheated on my barista
Last week during my not much sleep/scrapbooking frenzy/not feeling at the top of my game, I cheated on my barista.
Normally "B" and I stop at Starbucks on the way to work. Well, last week, when I was driving to work solo, I really needed coffee...it was Thursday...I had been at the office til after 1:30am working on Suzy Q's scrapbook with Laura. SO as I approached my normal drive thru Starbucks....the line was around the building and 6 cars were waiting to pull in .... UGH....so I kept driving. I thought wel I'll get some when I get to work.
Finally made it to the exit ramp and UGH I needed coffee right then. I drove down the fac mall blvd and did the special u turn into Jitters. No. cars. were. waiting. It was FATE. YIPPEEE. I pulled up to the window and ordered my normal ventie size non fat sugar free vanilla latte. The very cute boy toy at the window said...that's boring. Let me make you a lucious latte. So feeling a little adventurous...I said sure why not.
SO he made me a sugar free white chocolate sugar free raspberry non fat latte.....
OH MY GOD. Pure Heaven. Just smelling the aroma was enough. The taste. Fabu!

Looks like hump day to me!
WOW what a nice spring day! Was totally busy at work. "B" and I stopped at Starbucks on the way in. Got my joe freak on!!! YEAHWZA. Had a busy day...and got lots done.
it was an interesting day as I was a person that I hadn't seen forever. In the office of all places. Things are strained and a little weird at the office since Suzy Q left. I'm sure it will all settle down soon.
OH and on another note....
ITS 6 days til my birthday!!

Frick Frack Don't Talk Back
Tuesday....lovely tuesday.
I should update you all about something I haven't blogged about lately. My car. On Monday I called my insurance company as I hadn't heard anything from TAR. Yes I called my insurance company. They assigned me a claims adjuster. On Tuesday I spoke with the adjuster and filled him in. He seems really nice and understands the situation with TAR. He's gonna handle everything. Oh thank you!!!!
SO I got an email from TAR...which was just ridiculous....So...I didn't respond to it. I gave the adjuster all of the correspondence that I had from and to TAR. AND. I'm. NOT. going. to. respond. to. TAR. Just let the adjuster do his job. SO I'm not gonna blog about it...til it is resolved...as it's out of my hands now. IF TAR wants to talk about it. He must talk to the adjuster. Final answer.
The remainder of the day was wonderful...a small weight had been lifted off my shoulder. YEAH!

A little retreat in the woods....
Monday....i headed off to work...with just a few things in tow to head to Diva #1's to take care of Dottie. Work was great...busy day...love how they fly.
Took Sugar Momma to the ZIP and Go and dropped her off. Then headed up to the retreat in the woods. I went in and took care of Dottie...and then headed to ISushi for a little dinner with Cin...and then back to the retreat. I loved spending time at the retreat...I almost had trouble sleeping (so silent ... no street noise) lol...Then off to work on Tuesday...I hated leaving but I do know I'll be back soon!
I totally suck...i forgot my camera....no picture of the monkey in the tree (reobie) and no dottie pictures....guess I'll have to go back soon with camera in tow!

Let's see - it's been forever since I've blogged. UGH...i suck...bad blogger bad blogger. Let's recap...last week...I was sick and I worked on a scrapbook for a gal at the office....fast forward to Friday night after work. "V" came over and we watched Zoolander. Finally. We laughed, it was funny, it was ridiculous and a great way to wind down after the long week.
Got up early Saturday, and had a very very very did I say very busy day. I had my two page check list on my clipboard, with address, mapquest directions and phone numbers. SO off I went. I headed to the post office...checked off the list...the Pac Supply - ugh they weren't open til 9am - have to figure that our later. Off to get coffee check. check. To see Jan the hair alter specialist. check. check. check. To Calif Closets for a drop off for work. check. check. check. To the bank for rent checks. check. check. check. Then to see Suzy Q. At the Olive Garden the gals and I met up. We had a great time. Sue loved her book. We were there for a long time...and it was a blast. Then home again. check. check. check. Then to Fred Meyer...check check.
Saturday night..."V" came over again and we watched Flight Plan and had zza for dinner...yummy! And then off to sleep my pretties.
Sunday - the day of more ingredients for life. HA! I got up, did a load of laundry...filled the car up with gas, got breakfast and headed home. Got ready and then hit the road Jack....of to "O" town for a station event. Got there at good ole safeway...found ingredients for life again...Isle 15 of course...lol...and then off to....Ta Da...Shipwreck beads. I only spent $16. Wowza...then off to see a few frieds before heading home. Home home home....whew...what a whirlwind weekend.
